The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature is a unique wedding venue located in Bradenton, Florida. This destination caters to couples that are seeking something one-of-a-kind for their wedding event. They are invited to make use of the breezy courtyard, the stunning and intriguing planetarium space, or the elegant boardroom. With these flexible areas on offer, clients will be able to host both large and small occasions with ease. From 2019 and onwards, The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature introduced new and modern spaces that include glass walls and technological capabilities.
Facilities and Capacity
This exciting location provides betrothed couples with customizable rental facilities. There are 4 distinct areas within the museum. These include the courtyard, the planetarium lobby, the planetarium theater, and the boardroom. The courtyard can be the ideal location for soon-to-be-weds that enjoy the outdoors. It offers open-air facilities as well as an underwater view of The Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat. Up to 225 guests can enjoy an occasion here, complete with catered delights from the on-site kitchen. The planetarium lobby is designed to support up to 70 seated guests or 125 standing individuals. Between its cosmos-themed recessed ceiling and its curved and strategically-lit architecture, this area is sure to add an interesting factor to any event. The planetarium theater delivers an out-of-this-world experience both in show and design. Up to 115 visitors can take a seat in the theater, and its rental includes use of the lobby. Lastly, the boardroom is the smallest of the available spaces, suiting a party of 55 individuals. It features an up-close and personal view of The Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat. With an abundance of options, clients are invited to discover which type of rental reflects their styles and tastes.

Adam is a transplant from the beautiful state of Michigan, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Education specializing in Post-Secondary Leadership and Special Education from Michigan State University. Utilizing these degrees, he entered the Early Education Field where he was both teaching and directing. While directing, Adam discovered a talent in making community connections and helping businesses push into new spaces to attract and retain new client bases. Using these new strengths, he sought a change to grow this passion and found The Bishop. Now his focus is connecting this beautiful museum with couples have their dream wedding day, helping them navigate the details and providing guidance along the way.
Brandy Harlan has been with the Bishop team for just over a year an a half however is no stranger to the event industry. Brandy has more than 18 seasons of event planning in Manatee & Sarasota counties as well as being the Director of a successful venue locally. From planning hundreds of couples special day, to working with industry professionals she had created relationships that serve a source of expert knowledge for clients planning their special day at the Bishop.
